WOMEN’S ISSUES
ANXIETY
LIFE TRANSITIONS
Welcome to Sanctuary Counseling.
I’m so glad you are here.
The thoughts won’t stop, and the heaviness on your chest is a constant burden. All the while, it seems like loneliness and striving for an unreachable perfection have become your closest companions. The world starts painting a picture of what we “should” be at a young age. These standards are an ever-changing bullseye we anxiously strive to meet while carrying immense disappointment when unachieved. Ever been there? Me too. Maybe that’s where you find yourself today, and if so, I hope you continue reading.
It’s important to find knowledgeable, experienced, and compassionate people to journey with you through tough life seasons and healing quests. My passion is to help women navigate life transitions, anxiety/depression, life stressors, addictions, shame, grief & loss, and establish a deep relationship with Christ while finding anchored purpose in life.
-
REST
Every human is created in the image of God, loved deeply by their Creator, and ‘actually’ liked by the One who paid it all for us to have abundant life. The security of our Father’s love creates safety and rest for our souls.
-
HEALING
God is the catalyst for all lasting healing. He heals the brokenhearted, lifts up the fallen, restores, confirms, strengthens, and establishes us. There is hope to receive healing from past traumas/wounds.
-
GROWTH
I believe some of our hardest seasons bear the most beautiful fruit. There is grace to grow emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually as we journey through life. We don’t have to live stuck.
Therapeutic Approaches
Cognitive Behavioral
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a proven treatment that helps with symptoms of anxiety and depression. It teaches us that how we think affects how we feel. By learning to change negative thoughts and make them more positive, we can feel better emotionally. CBT helps us build healthier ways of thinking, leading to less stress and more happiness.
Emotion-Focused
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) believes emotions are a big part of ourselves. If we ignore our feelings or let them control us, it can cause problems. EFT helps us learn to understand, explore, accept, and manage our emotions in a positive way. By doing this, we can feel better and have a healthier life.
Christ-Centered
Christ-Centered Counseling integrates psychological insights with Scriptural principles, offering you a Biblically-based journey towards emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. Through prayer, scripture, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques, I aim to help you discover God's purpose for your life and find strength in your journey.
